HEALTHY BROCCOLI PARATHA

It's a winter timing and in this chilly days we all love eating parathas..,today I'm sharing healthy  and tasty broccoli paratha with you all😋

Ingredients;

2cup whole wheat flour for dough

1cup whole wheat flour for dusting

2cup grated broccoli

1tsp cumin seeds

1tsp garlic 

1green chilly flakes

1tsp garam masala powder

1/4 tsp red chili powder

Salt to taste

Oil for shallow frying

Butter for serving

Method;


1. In a large bowl mix 2cup flour,add 2tsp oil and salt,add water as required and knead a smooth dough(like roti dough),cover the dough and rest it for 15 minutes at room temperature.

2. Heat 2tsp oil in a pan over medium flame,add cumin seeds, when they start to crackle,add garlic paste, green chilli, grated broccoli and salt and mix well.

3. Cook it until the broccoli mixture turn little dry, for approx 2-3 minutes.

4. Add garam masala powder,red chilli flakes, mix well and cook for a minute.

5. Now turn off the flame, stuffing is ready and let it cool,divide it in to 6 equal portions.

6. Divide dough into 6 equal parts and give them a round shape of ball.

7. Take 1cup dry wheat flour in a medium plate for dusting ,take one dough ball ,press it between your palms or on roti making board and make flat patties. Coat the pattie with dry wheat flour and place it on a rolling board, roll it out into thick circle of approx 4-5 inch diameter. Put one portion of stuffing in the centre.

8. Enclose it by pulling all round surface towards top, seal the edges and again give a round shape of ball.

9. Gently press stuffed ball on rolling board and give it a shape of pattie.

10. Coat it with dry flour and roll it out into a stuffed paratha of approx 6-7 inch diameter (like roti) having approx  1/2 centimetre thickness.

11. Heat the tawa on medium flame.place  raw paratha on a hot tawa and cook around 30-40 seconds .Flip and spread 1/2 teaspoon oil evenly on each side with the help of spatula and cook until golden brown spots appear on both sides.

12. Transfer broccoli paratha to a plate and spread butter on it. Prepare paratha from remaining dough balls. 

  Serve hot paratha with curd and your favourite pickle😋😊
